Post-Doctoral Fellows at Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT)
The GTIIT management is happy to announce a call for excellent candidates for Post-Doctoral studies (Post-doctorate studies will start no later than 5 years after receiving a Doctorate) as follows:
A two-year option is offered for excellent candidates co-mentored by at least one GTIIT faculty member and at least one Technion faculty member. In this option, the GTIIT faculty member pays 1/3 of the Post-Doctoral stipend, the Technion faculty member pays 1/3 of the Post-Doctoral stipend, and GTIIT pays 1/3 of the Post-Doctoral stipend. The program can be extended for a second year after submitting a written research report and justification at the end of year 1. The Post-Doctoral student is expected to spend time at the Technion in Israel and the GTIIT campus in China. At the end of year 2, the Post-Doctoral student is required to submit a draft of a research proposal to establish a group at GTIIT as an independent faculty member.
All applications for Postdoctoral Fellowship will be submitted by faculty members for approval to Prof. Moris Eisen, the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (PVCAA) of GTIIT and to Mrs. Ronit Mayer at gtiitrecruit@technion.ac.il
Please include:
- A detailed CV, including a publication list where the impact factor of each journal is listed.
- A research proposal (10-15 pages Max) justifying and describing the research the post-doctoral student will conduct with his/her mentor(s).
The proposal should be approved by the mentor(s). - Letters of recommendation from the mentor(s), the PhD advisor, and at least one additional person who can attest to the scientific abilities of the candidate.
