Guangdong Technion Israel Institute of Technology [GTIIT] is a private university in Shantou, China dedicated to innovative research in engineering, life sciences, technology, and environmental conservation. Established by the Israeli Technion, GTIIT currently has seven programs, all taught in English:
- Biotechnology and Food Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Chemistry
- Environmental Engineering
- Material Science Engineering.
- Mathematics and Computer Science
- Mechanical Engineering and Robotics
- Physics
We are looking for faculty to fill teaching positions to instruct the following English courses:
- Technical English A
- Technical English B
- Oral and Written Technical Communication in English
- Graduate courses
- Advanced Discussion
- Academic Writing in the Age of AI
Preparatory semester – August 5th – September 15th
Winter semester – October 13th – January 13th
Spring semester – March 2nd – June 15th
Position Description:
We seek fluent English teachers for GTIIT to teach Technical English and English for Communication, in accordance with CEFR guidelines.
Candidates must be hardworking, tolerant, creative, and good team players, with strong communication skills. The role requires flexibility, original thinking, and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Technical and Communication English aligned with CEFR.
- Prepare lessons, materials, and assessments.
- Support student progress through feedback and guidance.
- Encourage active participation and independent learning.
- Work closely with colleagues on course development.
Required qualification / academic degree: MA or higher in English or a related field.
Required experience: Minimum three years of teaching experience in higher education.
