The Department of Biotechnology & Food Engineering (BFE)  follows the program of the equivalent department at the Technion.
The Department of Biotechnology and Food Engineering is one of the few departments worldwide to incorporate areas of biotechnology and food engineering under one combined degree.
The department has been educating high-level graduate talents who can join both the biotechnology and the food industries.
In order to train highly skilled engineers in the fields of food and biotechnology, the Program at the Department of BFE at GTIIT is identical to that taught at the Technion. It provides a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering.
Students learn traditional and modern topics in the biotechnology and food engineering fields through core and advanced courses, and exposed to cutting-edge technologies and research fields, and gain rich practical experience.
