The Department of Physics seeks to educate the next generation of scientists and to equip them with skills to explore and better understand the physical world.
The Department of Physics at the Technion is at the forefront of contemporary research in a wide range of physics fields, including quantum computing, astrophysics, particle physics, nonlinear optics, solid-state physics, and biophysics.
The physics department has about 40 faculty members and over 100 graduate students.
The graduate program at GTIIT is in English, and students with master’s and PhD degrees from abroad are welcome to apply.
